Step 1 Rinse lentils. Pour water in a large saucepan. Put the lentils in there. Then add onions, carrots, bay leaves, and garlic. Step 2 Bring to boil. Reduce heat, cover the saucepan with a lid and cook until the lentils are soft (about 15 minutes). Put the content of the saucepan in a colander, then remove the bay leaf. Step 3 Add dill, salt, pepper, and olive oil to the cooked lentils with onions and carrots. Cover, let it sit for 10 minutes. Serve and enjoy!
