Recipe Details:
Diabetic-friendly steamed tilapia is a great snack with steamed cauliflower, apples and basil.
Step 1 Rinse the tilapia fillet in water. Season the fish with lemon juice, salt and pepper, sprinkle with chopped basil and leave for 20 minutes. Step 2 Put the tilapia fillets in a steamer and cook for 10 minutes (follow steamer’s instruction manual). Step 3 Take out the cooked fish from the steamer and let it cool. Step 4 Cook cauliflower with apples and basil: Rinse the cauliflower in water, divide into large inflorescences and put in a steamer for 6-8 minutes (follow steamer’s instruction manual). Once the cauliflower is ready, let it cool down. Step 5 Cut the cauliflower into small pieces. Cut the apples into cubes. The amount of apples should be about the same as cauliflower. Step 6 Take about 1/3 of the apples. Grind them with a knife along with basil on a cutting board. Step 7 Add the yogurt to the apples and basil. Then add salt and mix well. Step 8 Put tilapia filet on each plate. Put a slice of lemon on top and next to the fish – cauliflower, apples and basil salad. Enjoy!
