Recipe Details:
Pea soup turns out to be healthy and tasty. Besides, you can make this diabetic-friendly dish rich and flavorful without broth and meat. Just make sure to add carrots, onions, and bell peppers for aroma and enhanced taste.


Ingredients:
  • Dried split peas – 1 cup
  • Potatoes – 3 Oz
  • Carrots – 3 Oz
  • Water – 6 cups
  • Bell pepper – 1
  • Vegetable oil – 1 Oz
  • Spices - To taste (bay leaf, allspice)
  • Dill - To taste
    Recipe Directions:
    Step 1
    Cut the potatoes into cubes.
    Step 2
    Rinse the peas and out them to a saucepan with water. Cook for 30 minutes without salt.
    Step 3
    Add potatoes, add salt. Cook the soup for another 15 minutes until the potatoes are tender.
    Step 4
    Chop the vegetables. Dice the peeled onion and bell pepper and grate the carrots.
    Step 5
    Simmer vegetables in a skillet with vegetable oil, over low heat for 3-4 minutes without frying.
    Step 6
    Put vegetables into the soup, cook for another 5 minutes.
    Step 7
    Then, add finely chopped dill, bay leaf, and allspice. Cook the soup for another 2-3 minutes.
    The soup is ready, enjoy!
